About Proof Take

These terms describe the use and purchase of Proof Take, a native macOS application provided by the Proof Take developer. Contact [email protected] for product or purchase support.

Trial and license

The free trial lasts 14 days from your first admitted check. No account or sign-in is required. After the trial, a license is needed to start further checks. Saved history, review, listening, notes and export remain available.

The standard price is US$29 for a one-time license to Proof Take 1.x, with unlimited projects and activation on up to two Macs. You can deactivate an old Mac in the app to free an activation. Applicable taxes and the final total are shown at checkout before payment.

Updates and future upgrades

Your purchase includes all updates released within version 1.x. If Proof Take 2.0 is released, existing license holders can optionally upgrade for 50% of the standard 2.0 price at the time of upgrade. No 2.0 price or release date is currently announced. Your existing 1.x license remains valid if you do not upgrade.

Purchase and delivery

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, under the checkout terms presented before payment. A license key is delivered to the purchase email address and entered in the app to activate it. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Download and purchase will become available at launch; this website currently describes the planned offering.

License checks and local content

An activated license works offline for 30 days after a successful online verification, followed by a seven-day grace period. After 37 days without successful verification, new checks are paused until verification succeeds. The app attempts automatic online verification when more than three days have passed since the last success, with at least six hours between automatic attempts; you can also verify manually. Temporary verification failures retain the license. A refunded or revoked key stops allowing new checks when verification confirms it is revoked or missing. Saved history and review remain available. You retain your rights to your scripts, audio and review content. You are responsible for having permission to use the files you import. Recognition results are suggestions for your review, not a guarantee of pronunciation, tone or complete audio accuracy.

Refunds and support

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. Email [email protected] with your order details. There is no usage or activation limit on this refund promise. See the Refund Policy for the process. Refunded licenses are cancelled; this does not delete your local project files.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
